Our Story

Rememble is a simple tool that helps you get all your digital bits and pieces in one beautiful place, use them to make and share stories of your life with your friends and then get your stuff back out into the world in ways that make life that little bit better.

Founded by Gavin O'Carroll, Rememble is a London-based company that started life as a group final project Master's Interactive Media degree back in 2003.

Wanting to make something that would help people to be more content, the group used elements of Flow Theory (the psychology of happiness) combined with the idea of making use of the messy wasteland of day-to-day digital traces that we leave behind while we use communication technology.

The end result: to reinvent the simple diary in a way that helps us make sense of the world and our journey through it, by putting the valuable digital evidence of the stories of our life into order - Rememble was born.

Three years later, in 2006, Gavin O'Carroll become a NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) Creative Pioneer and was awarded seed funding to finally bring Rememble to life.
